We got the opportunity on Martin Luther King weekend to go to the beach with Christen, Ben, Mary Hyatt and another sweet couple and their little girl. It was a much needed vacation to say the least! After having your newborn pictures taken (you were so good - we still don't have the pictures back, but we have seen a "sneak peak" and they are awesome!) we went to lunch for Mommy's birthday and then got ready to go to the beach....
First, traveling with you was everything but easy. I have never seen so many bags in all my life. After what felt like we had packed our whole house up, we were very excited. It was a day full of uncertainty. Mary Hyatt got sick and we weren't sure we were going to get to go. Since we had everything pretty much packed, your daddy started looking into some other options so we could still get away for a night. Luckily, Mary Hyatt seemed to be doing better as the day went on so we decided to go on to the beach.
Once we were finally all loaded we made it thirty minutes down the road and you had a blow out diaper and we had to stop. As everyone was pulling off the exit Mary Hyatt got car sick and needed a change too! Here you are ready to travel to the beach....
With a bottle and the night time sky you were good to go (like always). You slept most of the way down there. When we finally go to the beach it was after midnight and we were all ready to go to sleep. Just like always you slept through the night. Being in a new place didn't seem to phase you at all.
The next morning we woke up and went to the Donut Hole to have breakfast. It was a very small restaurant with a LOT of people. We couldn't all sit together so you, your daddy, and I sat by ourselves. We had a great breakfast and people would come by and tell us what a good baby you were. When I finished breakfast I took you to the car to feed you and get you out of your car seat. Not long after getting to the car, Christen and Mary Hyatt came out to the car because Mary Hyatt was sick again. Unfortunately, Mary Hyatt spent most of the weekend not feeling well, but every so often she would get excited and ask to see "baby." Christen and I don't know if she will ever call you Olivia or if she will always call you "baby." After breakfast, we went back to the condo so MH could take a nap. Once she woke up we were off to the outlets to do some shopping....
The next day we went back to the outlets to finish some things up and then we couldn't resist taking all the girls to the beach. I don't know if you were a big fan of the sand or not. It was VERY cold but we were able to get a few good pictures before we headed out to dinner.
Love,
Mommy
