One afternoon, after several rainy days, I decided to take you to the park. Your daddy happily met us there after he left work. When we first got there you and I went ahead and did a little swinging. You LOVED it. You giggled the whole time. The park we went to also had a splash pad. While you are too little and it was still much too cold to get in, you enjoyed watching three little girls run through it. I think they enjoyed having you as their audience. Every so often I would put your foot down in the water. Even though it was cold you seemed to enjoy it. Unfortunately, your daddy hadn't gotten to the park yet so I don't have any pictures of you at the splash pad. However, I feel sure that this particular day wasn't our last visit to park this summer.
Once your daddy finally got to the park we each did some swinging with you. This seemed to be your favorite part of the park. Unfortunately, this park didn't have a baby swing for you so you had to sit in one of our laps to be able to swing.
Finally, outside the park they have laid bricks in honor or in memory of friends and loved ones. You nor your daddy had the pleasure of meeting MiMi's best friend, Joyce. She was such a wonderful person who would have loved you both so much. As we were walking in the park I noticed someone had placed a brick right in front of the gate with her name on it. So of course I made your daddy take our picture in front of it. While you may not have met her, I know she looks down from Heaven (with many others) and smiles each time she sees your sweet face.
Needless to say, the park was a success! I can't wait to spend a lot of time here this summer with you.
Love,
Mommy
